Welfare
Respect…
...the space and others who are using it
...that there are varying opinions, beliefs, experiences, and privileges in our space.
...everyone’s identity and background, including pronouns and names.
...everyone’s physical and emotional boundaries. Please do not touch anyone without their explicit consent.
…everyone’s privacy. If you are filming or photographing any member of the audience, please make sure to get their consent to be filmed.
We believe Stereo can be a supportive, non-threatening and inclusive environment for all who work with us and visit us. We do not tolerate homophobia, transphobia, racism, or any kind of discrimination or prejudice based on identity or background. We also don’t tolerate a display of hate speech or hateful symbols. Anyone displaying hateful rhetoric, imagery, or beliefs, will be asked to leave.
We want our spaces, both physical and digital, to be welcoming and engaging.
Club Welfare
Your safety and comfort is our priority, and our trained welfare team is there to help! Our welfare team will be around for club events and wearing high vis vests saying ‘Welfare’. You can find them at the entrance in the beginning of the night, and roaming about throughout the night.
We can help you if you are feeling unwell, anxious, or distressed for any reason, need a chat / quiet space, or if you are made to feel uncomfortable. We are also there to help if you need a hand getting a taxi or figuring out safe routes home. The welfare team is there to listen, not to judge.
We also offer ear plugs to keep those eardrums working and drink spike tests should you feel your drink may have been tampered with. You can ask any member of staff or security for a test kit.
While we recognise that clubbing is not risk-free, we will do everything in our power to make your experience in Stereo pleasant and comfortable.
