Paul Hagan - the music of Aztec Camera and Roddy Frame

Following 2 sold-out gigs in Liverpool, in this solo acoustic show self-confessed superfan Paul Hagan will be performing an evening of songs spanning Roddy Frame’s 40 year career.

With selections from all 10 of Roddy’s studio albums, from Aztec Camera’s classic debut “High Land Hard Rain” to his most recent solo release “Seven Dials”, expect to hear hit singles including Somewhere in My Heart, Oblivious, Walk out to Winter, and Good Morning Britain, alongside deeper cuts and fan favourites such as Small World, Reason for Living, Stray, Killermont Street and more – all performed in the acoustic style that Roddy has adopted since becoming a solo artist.

Doors open at 7pm with the performance beginning at 8pm sharp. There will be 2 sets with an interval. There is no support act, and seating is unreserved.

About the venue

Stereo is just a hop, skip and jump from Glasgow Central Train Station.

While Stereo has a wheelchair lift from street level which provides access to the main bar for food and drink, unfortunately they do not have wheelchair access to the basement music venue at present.

About Paul

From Liverpool, Paul has performed around the UK for over 20 years, including as a member of local heroes Amsterdam, contributing to the albums The Journey, 1-2-3-4, and Home.

During his stint with the band he played live to the nation multiple times on BBC Radio 2, recorded a collaboration with Elvis Costello for the Liverpool No1 Project, and took to the stage at iconic venues including Abbey Road Studios, the Glastonbury festival, and Liverpool’s own M&S Arena.

He regularly works with Scottish musician Neil “Mackie” Macintosh, performing live with his power-pop band Ariel, playing bass guitar on solo LP Needless Road, and the pair are currently collaborating on a 90s-inspired album with legendary engineer/producer Nick Brine (Oasis, Stone Roses, Ash, Super Furry Animals, Teenage Fanclub).

Paul is also a member of Liverpool band The Last Gambdado’s whose recent album “Start Out Where You Stand” is available now on Spotify.
