Forming after a chaotic night in Glasgow's Slouch Bar, the folk-rock septet have flourished within their tight knit community of friends and fellow musicians. With their initial releases in 2017 and 2018, the band showcased their songwriting skills on tracks like Losing My Mind Over You and Smells Like Rain. On their Overgrown EP, Lacuna expertly merge an eerie folk music element to the indie undercurrent to create visceral tracks such as Viking Funeral and Red Thread. The roots of the band deepened creatively, and physically throughout 2023 as the band continue to establish themselves as a formidable act across Scotland with appearances at Tenement Trail, as part of the BBC introducing Scotland takeover, UCI Cycling World Championships in Glentress and as part of the BBC Introducing’s live showcase at King Tuts. Lacuna have honed their ferocious live sound around the local Glasgow scene, supporting acts such as Lucia & the Best Boys, Dutch Wine and Infinity Song.
