A Riot Grrl fundraiser with 100% of ticket profits going towards Operation Olive Branch - an initiative working continuously to compile the GoFund me campaigns of Gazan families trying to flee via the Rafah border crossing. All proceeds will be directed towards as many families to support them in meeting their vital fundraising targets. Join us for an evening of Riot Grrl solidarity with Scottish based feminist punk angels harking from the East and West coast. Doors open at 7pm at Stereo, Renfield Lane, Glasgow. BRENDA: “seared onto your brain after a single viewing” This gorgeous Glasgow based trio deliver unapologetic, infectious pop-punk blended magic. Having recently released their highly anticipated debut album in Summer 2023, Brenda have created a buzz with their energetic sets and combining dreamy synths, witty lyrics, and joint vocals. Not one to be missed. linktr.ee/brendamegaarse LOU AND THE KILLJOYS: “Riot Grrrl-Pop bangers cut with razor-sharp wit" Lou Mclean is a singer songwriter who sprang from the GRS Edinburgh collective, now playing live with her band, the Killjoys. Taking her place as the riot grrrl scene’s token pop princess, Lou has taken influence from her band, and re-worked the songs to create a raw and energetic live performance. Expect BIG basslines, driving rhythms and 3 part harmonies to sing along with as they bring the party & kill the buzz. Her single ‘Killjoy’ is out now. “ linktr.ee/loumcleanmusic FINGERING AT THE DISCO: “very correct and very entertaining” Born of the Edinburgh Girls Rock School, this fiery socialista quartet always put their queer feminist leanings centre stage offering correct and entertaining takes inspired by the Riot Grrl icons of our past blended with punchy lyrics and early 2000’s DIY pop-punk vibes. Always silly, always snappy, and always socialist.
