Stereo as a Safer Space
We believe Stereo can be a supportive, non-threatening and inclusive environment for all who work with us and visit us. We do not tolerate homophobia, transphobia, racism, or any kind of discrimination or prejudice based on identity or background.
We want our spaces, both physical and digital, to be welcoming and engaging.
Respect…
...the space and others who are using it
...that there are varying opinions, beliefs, experiences, and privileges in our space.
...everyone’s identity and background, including pronouns and names.
...everyone’s physical and emotional boundaries. Please do not touch anyone without their explicit consent.
…everyone’s privacy. If you are filming or photographing any member of the audience, please make sure to get their consent to be filmed.
If you experience harassment or abuse of any kind, or if someone is interfering with your participation or presence at an event or in a space, please let us know and our staff will deal with it quickly and discreetly. Our security staff could be found at the entrance to the club, near the bar and in front of the stage.
In the event of any harm incurred to a member of the audience, performer or staff, the perpetrator will be removed immediately. We do not tolerate any display of hate speech or hateful symbols. Anyone displaying hateful rhetoric, imagery, or beliefs, will be removed from the space.
We offer drink spike tests, available from the bar, should you feel your drink may have been tampered with. You can ask any member of staff or security for a test kit. If you or your friend feel unwell, please contact a member of staff and they will be able to help to order a taxi or get medical assistance.
While we recognise that clubbing is not risk-free, we will do everything in our power to make your experience in Stereo pleasant and comfortable.
