Voight-Kampff Presents: Myler (South London Analogue Material)
The DSNT affiliate Myler first caught our attention at Warehouse Elemenstraat’s Vault Sessions - a powerhouse b2b session with Manni Dee that showcased a sound that, in our eyes, was severely lacking in Glasgow. Our inaugural Voight-Kampff party welcomes Myler over from Ireland for his first ever gig in Scotland, at the intimate Stereo venue. Over the past couple of years Myler has built up a heavy reputation behind the decks - spinning intensely energetic industrial techno with seamless ease alongside some of the genre’s heavyweights.
His productions, although leaning towards the heavier side of techno, are informed by a strong background in electronic music as a whole. Inspirations come from the likes of Aphex and Actress, as well as being raised on hardcore and jungle. This lends his music a unique quality - his mastering work ensures immaculate production detail, while still aimed entirely towards the dancefloor.
With uncompromising releases for some of our favourite labels at Voight-Kampff - EarToGround, S.L.A.M and a nod from Mord on their Herdersmat compilation - Myler’s sound is the perfect introduction to what we are all about. Dress to sweat, this will be a rowdy one…
