Patrick Shand - Struggle With Purpose
Entry Requirements: over 18s only
Patrick Shand performs their 2017 Edinburgh Fringe show Struggle With Purpose, a collection of songs and spoken word pieces which address existential pangs, dark corners of the internet and the fragility of our minds, amongst other things. Expect surreal and stream of consciousness lyrics, improvisatory piano bashing, odd song structures and emotionally intense performances inspired by Bob Dylan, Thelonious Monk and Everything Everything.
Support comes from Bobby Kakouris and Josiah & Ludwig.
Bobby Kakouris is a Glasgow-based singer-songwriter who crafts short alternative pop snapshots that are by turns beautiful, playful and tragic. 2018 will see the release of their debut EP.
Emerging from their respective dwellings across Scotland’s central belt, Josiah & Ludwig are a folk duo rooted in the contemporary music scene. The Glasgow-based two-piece consists of the adventurous, Harry “Ludwig” Gorski-Brown on the fiddle, and his trusty counterpart, Andrew “Josiah” Herrington on the guitar.
