Regular Nights

Huntleys & Palmers Audio Club

Huntleys and Palmers Audio Club was established in December 2007 with the earnest ambition simply to throw a memorable party - with an emphasis on good music - and bring our favourite artists / DJ\\\\\\\'s to Glasgow for the exposure they so deserve. Taking the name in reference to the 1954 Report of the Departmental Committee on Homosexual Offences and Prostitution (better known as the Wolfenden report) where homosexuality was decriminalised. (Wolfenden suggested at an early stage that for the sake of the ladies in the room, that they use the terms Huntleys & Palmers - \\\\\\\'Huntleys\\\\\\\' for homosexuals, and \\\\\\\'Palmers\\\\\\\' for prostitutes.) Parties are staged in numerous venues throughout the city including the intimate Hetherington Research Club on University Gardens (where everything began) and the very friendly, city centre venue that is Stereo - on Renfield Lane. Expect to hear anything ranging from disco / techno / krautrock / folk / psychedelia / weird electronics / rockabilly, etc. Join us. www.myspace.com/huntleysandpalmers www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=48856245377

Men & Machines

Men and Machines are two men and several machines who escaped theirformer lives on the yard by moonlighting as a DJ duo by night.Combining the charm of vinyl with full on laptop shenanigans they mixoff the back of each other despite having no idea how the other onedoes their thing. Regulars on Subcity radio, they now bring what theydo to Stereo every fourth Saturday of the month. With a focus on techno, house and disco they play music you can thrust too.
